My salesperson Carlos was amazing! I reached out to Five Star Ford on 6/11/22 and spoke with Carlos. I let him know I have been looking to purchase a Hybrid Explorer in the Platinum trim level for over a year. I gave him my two color choices and asked if he would keep me posted if any came in that were not spoken for. Much to my surprise he texted me at 8:53 am on 7/30/22 to let me know they had just received a 2022 Ford Explorer Platinum in Star White Metallic that morning. It was not a hybrid but he reached out to see if I was interested. We exchanged conversation, photos, and vehicle sticker (it was still wrapped for dealer delivery). He said it was ready for purchase and would be ready for for customer delivery the first part of the week. He asked if I had a trade-in. We exchanged information on that. I decided to make the purchase as I had no hope for the hybrid I ordered at the local Ford dealer over a year ago to come in. I gathered what was necessary for my trade and was on the road to the dealership by noon with an estimated arrival time between 2:30 - 3:00 PM. Carlos must have called in all favors at the dealership, because they had the vehicle ready for customer delivery by the time I arrived at 3:00, saving me another trip. Carlos showed me the ins and outs of the vehicle and the electronics, connected my phone and set up my FordPass. While going over the Explorer, he had the used vehicle manager looking over my trade-in, they made me a fair offer. They allowed me to write a personal check with a credit app backup, leaving nothing left to do but sign on the dotted lines and drive away with my new vehicle. The entire process couldn't have went any smoother, from my salesperson Carlos to the sales manager, business manager, and all those in the back that helped prep to pull this off in less than a day ~ I am happy to give Five Star Ford 5 *****'s and my referrals. I cannot give the Parts department enough praise! I called to order some parts that are not a common part that gets replaced on most cars. I have purchased my cars and trucks over the years from many dealerships in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington. After visiting two other dealerships in Port Angeles, and trying to get a good deal on trading our full size truck for a small SUV we gave up and went home. We felt that the sales staff wasn’t comfortable dealing with people our age. Our daughter had bought a Jeep from one of the Five Star dealerships in Aberdeen and wanted us try them. She gave Five Star Ford Lincoln a call and told them what we wanted. The sales staff emailed us several SUV offers and approximately what our trade deal would be for each vehicle. We picked a SUV and drove more than two hours to get to the dealership. The sales Manager and staff had the SUV cleaned and waiting for us to test drive. The trade in offer and the sales price were great. Everyone connected with our deal was helpful and courteous. I felt that this dealership has people wanting to listen to your vehicle needs and then working to match your expectations. It was a long trip going to dealership, but driving home in a new SUV was very pleasant.

Everyone conducted themselves in a professional manner but the atmosphere inside the dealership had this weird quit vibe once I walked inside the doors. The employees that I interacted with identified themselves and answered all my questions but none of the employees were talking to each other. There was no professional joking around between co-workers. Nobody was laughing or just making general conversation. I don't know the proper protocols for selling cars but I also believe employees should smile, laugh, and converse with customers and co-workers. Ric Gaddis was great. He jumped right into seeing what the issue was, had the part ordered and scheduled the appointment. When I arrived with my vehicle for my appointment, he discovered the part wasn't at the dealership but had been sent to the sister dealership across town. He wasted no time in arranging to have the part transferred. Due to road construction in the area it took a little longer than normal to have the part delivered, but that could not be avoided and there was no way for Ric to get the part in hand any quicker. Once the part arrived, he installed it. He took the time to clean the area before he installed the new part, made sure the fit was perfect and even gave a free car wash voucher to ensure my vehicle looked great. The scoring regarding recommending the dealership as a place to do business has nothing to do with the service department. Service department was great.

Though I cannot speak for all of Five Star Dealerships as I only dealt with the Toyota/Scion dealership on Southside Aberdeen, I can say that the experience recently versus 10+ years ago was a complete turn around and for the best. As I have discussed with Tim (sales rep), David (financing rep), and Allen (manager) already, in the past Five Star Dealerships were pushy and all about closing the deal right now, not later. However, that was not the case now. When I first went for a test drive with Tim at no point did he try to push a sale, talk numbers or anything. It was just a nice drive and in the end when I was ready I explained my financial situation to Tim and when I would be in touch with him next. When Tim did reach out to me via phone prior to coming in to complete a sale at no point did he push for a sale or anything. I was unavailable at the time so he left a voice mail, but it was more of a friend just reaching out to a friend, not trying to complete a sale or anything like that. When I did come back in to the Five Star Dealership with my mother to show her what I was purchasing I was surprised again by how Tim treated her and myself. In the past when she's been in Five Star Dealerships she had been treated like a dumb woman, and Tim made her feel very welcome and treated her with respect which she and I both appreciated very much. When we met with David it was very nice. Like any smart car shopper I had researched prices people were paying nationwide for the Scion iA and extended warranties and maintenance plans and expected to have to negotiate my way to what I felt was a fair price. David came out with numbers for everything already at the price point I wanted and stated that he felt with my credit rating he could get me a better interest rate than others wanted me to have. In the end David was able to get me financed through Toyota with even a lower interest rate than he originally expected which not only has made me a happy Five Star customer, but overall made this whole experience for me even better. :-) Without a doubt, I definitely like this new Five Star I'm seeing and would recommend others check it out for themselves too. Though I've only personally met Tim and David, if the other employees at Five Star are as nice as they are then I would say Five Star has it right.

This is my second vehicle I have purchased from Five Star and worked with Ricky Dunlap and Aaron Smith, they are the best. It began with Paul Woods the internet manager getting in touch with me in a timely manner and then Ricky finding the vehicle I wanted, allowing me to test drive it for longer than a block and ensuring it was truly what I wanted. Once Aaron began with the numbers, it was smooth sailing. What really impressed me was as I was driving away, I was stopped by Ricky to inform me that the finance manager, Gordon had found me an even lower interest rate than what I had just signed up for. Approximately an hour later, Gordon called me to tell me he found an even better warranty for my vehicle for a year longer, better plan and great rate! How can you not enjoy working with a team that does everything they can to go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. I will not buy another vehicle from any other dealer in the future!

I would have liked them to pull the car up front for me when I came to pick it up, instead of being handed the key and told "it's somewhere over there* & having to walk around the side of the building and find my car. I asked if my car would be vacuumed out as part of my service and oil change, he said he could ask them to. Usually with an oil change they automatically do it. Thought that was unusual but they did a beautiful job. I appreciated the coupon for the car wash but thought it would have been nice for them to take it over and have it washed before I picked it up. It just seems like if you purchase a car for $30,000 and then have to bring it in for a recall service and the first oil change that it would be a better experience for the customer to have it all done without having to ask. It?s like buying a bag of chips at Safeway and them giving you a coupon for dip but making you go to Wal-mart for it. I have to say the employees in the service area were very professional, and polite and I really appreciated that. I tried to call to ask questions and had to leave a couple of messages and they called me right back both times. Overall they got the job done and in a speedy time frame.

Ricky has been amazing to work with! We had a water leak issue with only 200 miles on our truck and he was ALL over it getting it fixed.
